Spinach and Feta Turkey Burgers
These are a big hit in the summertime when everyone is tired of the same old hamburgers and hot dogs.
I followed the recipe closely, but used fresh chopped spinach and herbs. Very moist. The burgers are very soft and will stick to the grill, so be sure to oil the grill grates prior to cooking. Loved the flavor and would definitely make again.
This was an awesome recipe. I tweaked it a little per the suggestion of other reviewers, and sauteed the garlic with some onion and added fresh spinach to that mixture (didn't even drain this before adding to the meat), and I probably used a little more feta than the recipe specified. Next time, I would chop the spinach mixture before adding to the meat and I would add salt to the meat. I cooked mine on the stovetop and didn't really have any issues with them being jiggly. This recipe is definitely a keeper!
I used ground pork, fresh spinach (cooked) and sweet heat feta for the first batch. Served tzatziki sauce over the patties sans bun with a fresh salad - oooooohhhhhhhh these are good! Too spicy for the kids though, so second batch was regular feta. Good, but not AS good. Perhaps a flavored feta (without the spice) will perfect batch number three.
great! easy & fast! used fresh sautéed spinach. Flavor combination very nice.
I used fresh spinach, a little extra minced garlic, sautéed onions and mushrooms and Worcestershire sauce based on previous reviews. My husband liked these and had seconds, but it was a little bland for me, better supplemented with hot sauce. I will make again, but with more spice.
Wonderful recipe! Followed instructions with NO changes. Served with a Greek Salad with additional feta cheese, olives, etc.. No problem with the. consistency as one cook posted. I chilled my burger mixture, for several hours before forming.
Yummy! Great option besides burgers! Whole fam loved it
